People thrashing teeth gnashing minds absent till they
can't see the patterns that be keeping them captive i see
eyes of sadness and attachment to vices
a desire for passive in unrequited devices

My heart breaks as my energies fade
Do I have what it takes to move the opposite way
cause some days I wind up feeling displaced
and find myself playing games tryna hide in what's safe

sometimes I need to escape but I'm afraid to pump the brakes
The inertia of mind states deeply ingrained
and I see it in my people that are tryna make change
we're getting tired and keep tryna find a new way

In this
land of the blind this man with an eye can think that he's wise with limited sight
and vigilant like thinks him yes am I as he tries to guide with an ignorant mind
and what do we find we just be toeing the line
a bias filled with righteousness and fighting
with a mind that divides

See I do this for my peeps that be bodhi seeds growing to be refuge trees
to help us meet the demons of society
you are my tribe but the plight it is unending
it's rendered in a depth that I can't reach with sentences

I see no enemies, I see the first noble truth in all its excellence
and deft in its complexities
my greatest lessons were met in introspection
bereft of adversaries to saddle my apprehensions
